A federal judge has certified a class of perhaps 130,000 California customers of the Massage Envy chain who prepaid for massages but were not allowed to claim them or be reimbursed when they cancelled their memberships or their accounts were in arrears.

U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw on April 15 certified the class-action complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, finding the requirements had been met for class status in Gail Hahn v. Massage Envy Franchising, LLC. Read the judge’s order here.
