Pfizer is asking a federal judge to uphold a special master’s rulings that some discovery is protected by attorney-client privilege in litigation over antidepressant Zoloft.

The plaintiffs are appealing special master Andrew Chirls’ recommendation that 17 of Pfizer’s privilege claims be denied, that 14 be upheld and two be denied in part and upheld in part.
