Revlon’s widely promoted line of “age-defying” cosmetics with “DNA Advantage” improperly implies ingredients that interact with a person’s DNA to fight aging, when what they contain is little more than sunscreen, a proposed class action complaint contends.

Sacramento, Calif., consumer Sharon Rosen and Roslyn Heights, N.Y., consumer Anne Elkind say they purchased various Revlon concealers, foundations and powders based on the marketing and packaging representations that the cosmetics would help “protect the skin’s DNA.”
