Two workers at a Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. subsidiary in France have filed a class action in Ohio federal court against its parent company, alleging it failed to protect hundreds of current and former employees from the effects of toxic chemicals used to manufacture tires.

Plaintiffs Henri Solari and Charly Dupuis filed the suit on May 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on behalf of employees who worked at the Amiens, France, factory of Goodyear Dunlop Tires France (GDTF) between 1995 and the present. The suit contends the workers suffered, or may suffer harm, to their physical and mental health as a result of chemical exposure.
