The federal judge overseeing the data breach lawsuits against Target Corp. has appointed a group of plaintiffs attorneys predominantly from the Twin Cities to lead the the litigation.

U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson of Minnesota appointed Karl Cambronne, a partner at Chestnut Cambronne in Minneapolis, to serve as coordinating lead counsel for the plaintiffs. Garrett Blanchfield, founding partner of St. Paul’s Reinhardt, Wendorf & Blanchfield, will be plaintiffs coordinating liaison counsel. The judge split the litigation into three groups, with attorneys named to lead cases brought by consumers, financial institutions and shareholders.
