A California consumer and self-described vegan has filed a class action against Michael Kors Stores (California) Inc., alleging that it falsely advertises handbags as synthetic with no animal products.

Jennifer Goodwin of Los Angeles sued Michael Kors in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on May 13, alleging the company misled her into buying a handbag that contained leather.
