A Pennsylvania woman has filed a class action against Wells Fargo Bank N.A., alleging it violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by accessing the credit reports of consumers without a permissible purpose or authorization.

Plaintiff Lisa Signore sued Wells Fargo on May 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, claiming her credit score was diminished and she suffered a loss of privacy when a bank employee ran an unauthorized credit check to open up a credit card account without her consent or knowledge.
