Five New York City tour bus companies have agreed to pay a $19 million settlement to customers in exchange for the dismissal of a class action that accused the businesses of running a joint venture that artificially inflated prices.
Plaintiffs Natasha Bhandari and Tracey L. Nobel filed a motion May 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York seeking its preliminary approval of the settlement agreement between the putative class and defendants Twin America LLC., Coach USA Inc., International Bus Services Inc., City Sights LLC and City Sights Twin LLC.
