Private equity firm Bain Capital LLC, most famous for being co-founded by former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, has defeated a proposed class action of French workers suing over the shutdown of their suitcase factory.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit has ruled the statute of limitations for the putative class action was not tolled by the doctrines of fraudulent concealment and equitable tolling.
