The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has a new top cop: Zuckerman Spaeder litigation partner Aitan Goelman.
CFTC Chairman Timothy Massad announced Tuesday that Goelman will serve as director of the agency’s 130-lawyer Enforcement Division. “He will be a tough, aggressive and fair leader at a critical time in the commission’s history,” Massad said in a statement. Hiring Goelman was one of Massad’s first moves—the chairman started work at the CFTC on June 5.
