Yahya (John) Lyndh, earlier known as John Walker Lindh, has dropped religion-based claims from his proposed class action against the prison system, choosing to focus his challenge on a strip-search policy that is enforced before visits that do not involve physical contact.
After a federal judge on May 20 struck his original filing because it improperly joined two claims, Lindh abandoned his complaint that the prison allegedly violates the rights of Muslim inmates by not allowing them to hem their pants above the ankle.
