The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is seeking a permanent injunction against the California manufacturer of over-the-counter vaginal products because regulators say the products have not been approved for safety.

Washington, D.C.-based lawyers from the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, filed the complaint for the FDA in California federal district court against Laclede Inc., of Rancho Dominguez, Los Angeles County, and Michael A. Pellico, the president, founder and 50-percent owner of Laclede.
