Georgetown University Law Center has created a center focused on preserving privacy and civil rights in the face of advancing technology, and it has hired one of Capitol Hill’s top lawyers to run it.
The new Center on Privacy and Technology will weigh in on the privacy debates among federal and state lawmakers and regulatory agencies, Georgetown Law announced Monday. That includes issues presented by government surveillance, health-related apps and wearable technology.
