The Senate moved forward Thursday on the nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit of Jill Pryor, who was first picked for the spot more than two years ago.

At 897 days, Pryor’s nomination is by far the longest pending before the Senate. But she will have to wait just a bit longer for a final confirmation vote—until Sept. 8—because the Senate starts its five-week summer recess Friday.
