The conservative organization defending Oklahoma’s ban on same-sex marriages has followed the state of Utah in asking the U.S. Supreme Court to resolve the controversy.
Alliance Defending Freedom, a nonprofit Christian legal organization, filed a petition for review on Wednesday in which it seeks to overturn a 2-1 decision in July by a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit striking down Oklahoma’s constitutional amendment barring same-sex marriages.
