Fresenius Medical Care North America, a chain of dialysis clinics facing a slew of lawsuits in Massachusetts federal court, wants to limit discovery into a corporate integrity agreement.
Fresenius entered a corporate integrity agreement with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General in 2000 related to a company it acquired in 1996. The company filed false claims for reimbursement from federal healthcare programs prior to the acquisition. The agreement expired in 2008.
