Centralized federal litigation has been rejected for plaintiffs suing over several forms of birth control made by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals.
The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has rejected the request of plaintiffs to centralize the litigation in the Northern District of Georgia. The plaintiffs allege that the birth control products were mispackaged so “the daily regimen for the birth control pills left them without adequate contraception and at risk for unwanted pregnancy,” according to the order from John G. Heyburn II, chairman of the judicial panel.
