Texas businessman William Moore Jr. wants a new trial after a federal jury in Washington earlier this summer rejected his claims that he faced retaliation for speaking out against the U.S. Postal Service.

Moore has fought the feds in court for more than 20 years. In the new trial request filed late Monday, Moore’s lawyers at Jones Day acknowledge how long it took for the case to get before a jury. They argue, however, “finality must yield to fundamental fairness.”
