House Republicans hired Baker & Hostetler to bring a lawsuit against President Barack Obama, according to a contract approved Monday and posted on the Committee on House Administration.
The lawmakers agreed to spend up to $350,000 total—at a blended rate of $500 per hour for attorney time—to pursue litigation against Obama over what they say amounts to a breach of constitutional duties to follow the law.
