C.R. Bard Inc., which is facing close to 8,700 lawsuits over its transvaginal mesh in federal court, is objecting to a discovery request regarding the development of mesh products overseas.

Women are alleging that Bard and several other manufacturers of mesh used to treat urinary incontinence or pelvic prolapse are liable because the mesh allegedly caused problems like pain during sex, inflamed their flesh or other complications.
