It wasn’t for dinner.
Cameo Adawn Crispi of Uintah County, Utah, had been calling and texting her ex-boyfriend from his house on March 14, according to documents obtained by The Deseret News. He called the police, and the first officer to get to the house found smoke pouring from the front door and an obviously impaired Crispi, the newspaper said. Inside, the officer found a pound of bacon sitting on a cookie sheet on top of the kitchen stove, the burner on high, the bacon ablaze. After the fire was extinguished, Crispi was arrested. Her blood-alcohol content was measured at four times the state legal limit for impairment. She told the doctor she set the fire to get back at her ex-boyfriend. After waiving her right to a preliminary hearing, Crispi will be back in court on Oct. 7 to face multiple charges, including arson, burglary and intoxication. — Richard Binder
