A California federal judge apparently was pushed 18 pages too far.

On Sept. 11, in the home stretch of a putative class-action case against the makers of allegedly defective refrigerators, plaintiffs’ counsel filed a joint stipulation asking U.S. District Judge Josephine Staton for permission to exceed the 25-page local limit for a memorandum in support of a $33 million settlement agreement.
