Several food industry groups have moved for a preliminary injunction to stop enforcement of a Vermont law that will require food labeling to disclose ingredients that have been genetically engineered.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association, Snack Food Association, International Dairy Foods Association, and National Association of Manufacturers want a preliminary injunction while their lawsuit, attacking the law on First Amendment and federal preemption grounds, proceeds.
