Until his death, Thomas Hale Boggs Jr. was among the largest business developers at his namesake firm.

Amazon.com listed him among its Squire Patton Boggs lobbyists this year, in an account worth almost half a million dollars over six months. The son of two prominent members of Congress who was long renowned on his own terms, Boggs was key in ­signing up Citgo Petroleum Corp. as a lobbying client in May. By July, Citgo had spent $380,000 with Boggs’ firm.
