A Minnesota federal judge has refused to dismiss a proposed class action against a company that allegedly rips off consumers by selling “memberships” in supposed money-saving programs that instead result in unauthorized monthly credit card charges.
U.S. District Judge Ann Montgomery on Sept. 24 ruled that plaintiff Carol Maher had presented enough specifics about the operations of Sempris LLC to back up her claims and to allow Maher v. Sempris to proceed.
