Ron Wyden, Mary Landrieu and John Boehner: One of these things is not like the other. At risk of losing her U.S. Senate seat, Landrieu is among the top earning Senate campaigns. She’s collected almost $30 million, yet the amount of money large corporate lawyers and firms have given to her falls nearly in line with other less at-risk incumbents.

Take two Senate members. Landrieu, D-La., in 2013 and 2014 has taken in almost $10 million more than Wyden, D-Ore., who isn’t up for reelection. The legal industry has given heartily to both. But they’ve put more oomph behind Wyden, making up 5 percent of the money he has collected this cycle, compared with 2.5 percent from the legal industry for Landrieu.
