With all four plaintiffs witnesses rejected in litigation alleging that antidepressant Zoloft causes birth defects, Pfizer Inc. has moved to have all 526 cases struck at the summary judgment stage.

An Eastern District of Pennsylvania judge excluded Anick Bérard, a perinatal pharmacoepidemiologist; Thomas Sadley, an embryologist; Robert Cabrera, a teratologist; and Michael Levin, a molecular development biologist. The plaintiffs have moved to present a new general causation witness.
