The California Fourth Court of Appeal has upheld a $7.4 million verdict awarded to two teenaged friends who had their flesh ripped open from the jet thrust of a Sea-Doo watercraft made by Bombardier.

The plaintiffs, Haley Colombo and Jessica Slagel, were thrown off the Sea-Doo. The jury awarded $3.34 million in damages to Haley and $1.06 million to Jessica, as well as $1.5 million in punitive damages to each.
