Covington & Burling and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman will move into new office buildings Dec. 8, shifting two large chunks of the Washington legal community into different neighborhoods in one weekend.
Covington will transfer its administrative staff in the coming weeks from the firm’s Pennsylvania Avenue building to CityCenterDC, between Metro Center and Mount Vernon Square. The firm’s 440 lawyers will begin working out of the new office Dec. 8.
