The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers on Friday filed a notice of intent to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for failing to issue a critical standard that sets the amount of ethanol and other renewable fuels to be blended into the gasoline supply.

The agency already faces a suit by watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, over its delayed release of the annual renewable fuel standard.
