The Beer Institute is the trade association for U.S. brewers and suppliers to the industry. Based in Washington, it represents major brewers, smaller brewers and makers of bottles, cans and six-pack rings. The organization represents the $246 billion beer industry, including more than 2,800 breweries and, according to it, 2 million jobs.

Founded in 1862 as the U.S. Brewers Association, it’s one of the country’s oldest trade associations. The reception area at the institute features a fridge full of ale and cold beer on tap.
