CBOE Holdings Inc. is the public parent of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the nation’s largest options exchange. Founded in 1973 by the Chicago Board of Trade, the exchange lists contracts on equity, exchange traded products (ETP) and index options, including options on the S&P 500 and the CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX index.
