Denying it had anything to do with a contractor’s policy, Norwegian Cruise Lines is asking a Florida federal judge to deep six a putative class action alleging the cruise line discriminated against a passenger with diabetes by barring him from a snorkeling trip.
NCL Corp. Ltd., operating company of the Florida-based cruise line, filed a motion on Dec. 22 to dismiss the complaint by experienced snorkeler Gregory Paul or grant summary judgment. The company argued that the side excursion Paul was not allowed to join was an entirely separate operation of Mexican contractor Explora Caribe.
