Nominating: The White House hopes the Senate will confirm dozens of judicial picks during the president’s final two years in office. “Around 75 or so seems to be about the average, and I would suspect that we would continue at roughly that pace,” White House counsel Neil Eggleston told Reuters. Running: California Attorney General Kamala Harris, whose name came up as a possible pick to replace Attorney General Eric Holder Jr., is expected Tuesday to announce her candidacy for U.S. senate—for the seat held by retiring Sen.
