AlliedBarton Security Services LLC, based in Conshohocken, Pa., provides security guards and services through more than 125 offices nationwide to customers including businesses, government agencies, universities and homeowner associations. General counsel David Buckman said AlliedBarton has “a few big competitors and thousands of little ones.” The parent holding company is owned by the Blackstone Group L.P. The company brings in revenue of about $2 billion a year. Buckman said hiring was up slightly over the past year.
LEGAL TEAM
The team includes eight attorneys and 10 nonattorneys. Key aides include Nancy Peterson (contracts, compliance, regulatory); Deborah Pecci (employment and labor relations); and Michael Meehan (risk management and safety). The legal team plays a role in corporate and strategic affairs; safety and loss control; and litigation and claim management. Outsourced matters “chiefly include litigation, and matters that require a certain types of regulatory expertise or require the deployment of people or resources in excess of what we can provide internally.”
