The family of an Alexandria, Va., woman who died earlier this month while she was trapped on a Metro train in a tunnel filled with smoke filed a $50 million wrongful-death lawsuit against the regional transit authority on Friday.

Veteran D.C. plaintiffs lawyer Patrick Regan (left) of Regan Zambri Long is representing the family of Carol Glover, who died after losing consciousness on a Yellow Line train during the smoke incident on Jan. 12. Regan previously represented victims in a 2009 fatal crash on the Red Line, which left nine people dead and injured dozens.
