The American Association for Justice has a problem that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is trying to fix.

The problem involves the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The Chamber has long argued the law has allowed abusive litigation against companies. The trial lawyers’ group, which supports the statute, now finds itself defending a federal class action brought under the law by some of its members.
