Immigration injunction: A federal district judge in Texas on Monday night issued a 123-page ruling that temporarily blocks the Obama administration’s executive action on immigration. “Once these services are provided, there will be no effective way of putting the toothpaste back in the tube should the plaintiffs ultimately prevail,” U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen wrote.
The White House said in a statement early Tuesday morning: “The district court’s decision wrongly prevents these lawful, commonsense policies from taking effect and the Department of Justice has indicated that it will appeal that decision.”
