A legal aid lawyer, a city government attorney and a U.S. Department of Justice official are on the short list for the latest judicial vacancy in District of Columbia Superior Court.
The D.C. Judicial Nomination Commission, which vets applicants for the city’s local courts, recommended three lawyers—Julie Becker, Jonathan Pittman and Elizabeth Shapiro—to the White House this week for consideration to fill Judge Herbert Dixon Jr.’s seat.
