Three consumer organizations have asked the nation’s 50 state attorneys general how they are responding to a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision opening their licensing boards to huge potential antitrust liability.
In a letter to the states’ chief law enforcement officials, the groups said the February high court ruling in North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners v. FTC “renders unlawful what has become the common regulatory practice across all 50 states.”
