Berger Singerman’s work is classic Florida, from deals for citrus growers to cleaning up after failed and fraudulent businesses. The Miami firm, which proudly touts its “cultural aspirations,” has found success in old-school practice areas, expanding from a solo shop to four offices.

Known for high-end corporate deals and high-stakes litigation, the firm in 2014 also handled the $274 million sale of a Florida citrus company’s groves to agricultural giant Alico Inc., represented by Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. The deal took creativity — the buyer saw it as an acquisition while the seller as a real state transaction.
