Newt Gingrich, the former Republican U.S. House speaker and presidential candidate who once hoped to colonize the moon, will join the lobbying group of the world’s largest law firm on Earth.

“Dentons’ unmatched global presence coupled with its recent expansion in the U.S. is a real draw,” Gingrich said in a written statement last week. “The firm is committed to doing something unique, challenging the traditional and innovating in the legal profession with an emphasis on knowing and understanding communities around the world for the benefit of clients. It’s exciting and I look forward to being a part of it alongside a distinguished group of former policymakers and opinion leaders.”
