The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision Thursday to uphold the Affordable Care Act’s insurance marketplaces gave lawyers of all political positions the opportunity to say, I told you so. And then, that’s it, now what?

Erin Sweeney, of counsel at Miller & Chevalier who worked in President George W. Bush’s administration, felt validated Thursday morning. She said she had predicted the federal law would stand with a 5-4 majority, and had counseled her clients to “move full-speed ahead” to follow the law as is.
