Schneider Electric S.A. provides energy management and automation systems and products. Headquartered near Paris, it operates in more than 100 countries. Forty-four percent of its revenue comes from “new economies,” general counsel Peter Wexler said, defined as “anyplace outside of Western Europe and North America.” Schneider’s U.S. headquarters is in North Andover, Mass. The company employs more than 185,000 people around the world and produced $28 billion in revenue in 2014.
LEGAL TEAM
Wexler leads about 260 people worldwide, 220 of whom are attorneys. The work runs 50 percent commercial contracting, 20 percent intellectual property transactions, 10 percent mergers and acquisitions and the rest split between labor and employment law and litigation.
