The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday added 13 new cases to its argument docket for the term that begins Oct. 5, including a new employee-speech case and a test of the application of U.S. anti-racketeering law overseas.

The orders list brings the number of cases that will be argued in the coming term to 48, and more will be added in the weeks ahead.
