“The failure to defend actions in Congress [such as] the [Defense of] Marriage Act that we passed is unthinkable,” Sessions said. “The Department of Justice failed to defend the perfectly reasonable statute Congress passed and you did it because of a political agenda and I don’t think it’s right.”
