Lisa Blue has always been captivated by politics. Her late husband, Fred Baron, a prominent trial lawyer in Dallas, was a Democratic fundraiser who played key roles in the presidential campaigns of John Edwards. Baron died in 2008.
Blue’s involvement in politics became more pronounced this past year after serving as president of the American Association for Justice, the nation’s largest plaintiffs bar organization. (She also holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology.) Blue, who ended her AAJ tenure this summer, is now an influential fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. She talked to The National Law Journal about her support of the candidate and the most important legal issues for the 2016 election.
