In January 2015, Hogan Lovells partner Neal Katyal secured a 7-2 win at the U.S. Supreme Court for former federal air marshal and whistleblower Robert MacLean. A year earlier, Katyal was the only Supreme Court specialist to offer his services to MacLean after the solicitor general petitioned the justices to reverse an appeals court ruling in his favor.
“Nobody reached out to me,” MacLean said. “Nobody.”
