The University of Georgia School of Law has received $2 million from the John N. Goddard Foundation to establish a scholarship fund that will provide full tuition and professional-development opportunities to a small number of exceptional students.

The program, called the Philip H. Alston Jr. Distinguished Law Fellows, is one of just a handful at law schools nationwide that funds recipients beyond the cost of tuition, said dean Peter “Bo” Rutledge.
