The next dean of the Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law has one foot in the legal academy and the other in the world of professional sports.

University officials have tapped Matthew Parlow, an associate dean at Marquette University Law School, to replace outgoing law dean Tom Campbell. Parlow has co-taught professional sports law with Major League Baseball Commissioner Emeritus Bud Selig at Marquette. He also consults for professional sports teams and leagues on matter including franchise relocation, the purchase of teams and collective bargaining issues.
